Colleen Scott is an associate at AKCG – Public Relations Counselors, where she assists with strategy development and media relations for clients, as well as marketing for the firm. Prior to her role as an associate, she interned at AKCG, where she contributed to proactive media relations efforts, along with curating content for the firm’s social media accounts.
Colleen graduated magna cum laude from Rowan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations, with minors in advertising and marketing. During her time as a student, she worked as an intern for Rowan’s Office of Media and Public Relations, pitching on-campus events to local media in addition to assisting with University events, such as ribbon-cutting and commencement ceremonies.
For two years, she served on the executive board of the Anthony J. Fulginiti Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America at Rowan, a pre-professional organization for students studying public relations and communication. She was elected as the 2017–2018 president of the Chapter.
During her senior year, Colleen received the 2018 Anthony J. Fulginiti Award for Excellence in Public Relations. She was also the 2018 recipient of the Thomas E. Robinson Leadership Award, in recognition of her leadership and dedication to the university community.
She is a member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association, as well as the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
